Engineer Ali Al-Nuaimi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, has announced that Saudi Aramco discovered new quantities of gas in Al-Jalamid area in the northern region. The field is located about 95 kilometers east of Tarif city. He mentioned that « preliminary tests showed the possibility of gas exploitation and commercial development ». The «reservoir has been tested in a Al-Al-Jalamid well hook 3 on the depth of 9795 feet, where the gas flow rate of 12.1 million standard cubic feet per day, with a pressure flow at the mouth of the well to 2435 pounds per square inch on the orderly flow of diameter 32 / 64 inch
Al-Nuaimi concluded his statement saying that «this well can produce larger quantities of gas under normal production conditions, and will continue assessing the gas quantities in this well.
Saudi Arabia currently produces 8.8 billion standard cubic feet per day, but it will add 4.2 billion standard cubic feet per day in the end of the next decade.

Side of the North-South Train, which is located in Hazm Al-Jalamid, which one of his tasks will be the transportation of minerals from the north to the Saudi port of Ras Al-Zour on the Arabian Gulf.

Saudi Arabia currently produces 8.8 billion standard cubic feet per day, but it will add 4.2 billion standard cubic feet per day in the end of the next decade.
The Kingdom will become one of the largest gas producers in the world, when its gas output reaches the size of 13 billion standard cubic feet in 2020, according to the expectations of Ali al-Nuaimi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
Al-Nuaimi said earlier that the shift in the Saudi establishment of finding natural resources added to the oil. Which is considered as the largest oil exporting country in the world, not only on the daily production of gas, but will witness the Saudi reserves of gas, a rise of five trillion cubic feet of additional reserves of at least non-associated gas in 2010, to be added to the current reserve of 263 trillion cubic feet.
This means that the Kingdom reserves of its natural gas will rise up to 268 trillion cubic feet in 2010.
«Aramco» data's indicates the increase of 4 per cent in gas reserves in 2008 compared to 2007.
«Karan» Marine Gas field is expected to produce 1.8 billion cubic feet of gas per day, as the Kingdom has given the field contracts last year, the first offshore field of non-associated gas to the country oil.
The gas field is located in Hazm Al-Jalamid village in the northern area borders to the west of the Arar city which is considered as one of the business centers in the region, Hazm Al-Al-Jalamid as a pumping substation tapeline which transports oil from its sources in the east to the port of Sidon in Lebanon, which started pumping the late sixties migratory.
Studies indicates that Saudi Arabia has large stocks of phosphate rock, which is concentrated in the central and northern Saudi Arabia and it will be within the next decade, one of the largest phosphate exporters in the world, where Saudi Arabian Mining Company "Maaden" will carry out the metal task there.
It is expected that the Kingdom will assume a leading position of the phosphate production, and ranks fourth in world in the phosphate production during the next decade, the phosphate production projects in the Kingdom are considered as a promising projects, in addition to the aluminum, due to its reliable infrastructure of production, as there is a large metals stock in the Kingdom, in addition to the oil, energy, ports and secondary requirements existence for this type of production, which is lacked in other countries which have large stockpiles of these metals, this indicates that the Kingdom will play a major role in the production of phosphate in the world in the coming period, after the production starts in 2012 , Maaden have  exclusive rights to explore  those metals in the kingdom, as the company is totally owned to the country and it is one of the leading companies in Saudi Arabia besides Aramco and SABIC.
There is abundant phosphate deposits in the Kingdom in the north of Hazm Aljalamid area, which is one of the largest stocks of phosphate in the world, and regarding the aluminum raws, which is found with large numbers in Zabirah area in Hail city, those materials will be transferred to Ras Al-Zour through a network of trains that are performed under the project.
Ras Al Zour industrial city is located about 60 kilometers north of Jubail; it is considered as a mining city integrated with the mining projects that focus on mining and aluminum phosphate products.
